Urgent need list

1. We need two foster homes for about a month for 2 adult cats who need time with an adult.

2. We urgently need men's clothes in good quality.

3. Unwanted presents, good bric a brac please no broken stuff.

4. A van Friday or Saturday or even Monday who could bring stuff to the sanctuary for us.

Finally because of the amount of rubbish that is coming in, all bags WILL be checked. Please do not be offended but it costs US money to get rid of YOUR rubbish, money we can spend on the animals.

Finally as we are full we cannot take kittens and puppies at the moment, please work with us and we will help you as we get places.

WANTED

VOLUNTEERS TO SOCIALISE OUR CATS & KITTENS

Socialising:

* Makes the cats and kittens happy
* Gives them much-needed exercise and intellectual stimulation
* Allows us to get to know each cat¹s personality (an aid in ensuring successful adoptions)
* Helps the cats to be socialised, so that they are comfortable and well adjusted with people (crucial to successful adoption)

Socialising is individualised to the personality of each cat. Some cats love to chase toys. Others love to sit in laps. And there are some that would rather be left alone. But, in general, socialising includes:

* Playing
* Brushing
* Petting

It also includes cleaning and feeding

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact GSPCA.

Volunteers: We are always looking for volunteers in the G.S.P.C.A. To do what? Those with their own transport would be welcome to help out at our sanctuary, which is an hour's drive from Galway. Weekends and bank holidays are particularly difficult to man, so we would welcome any additional help.

Charity Shop: Our shop is open 6 days a week and we would welcome anyone who has a few hours to spare to help behind the counter, ironing clothes, sorting stock etc.

Our shop is a major source of income for us, so we need to ensure that it is sufficiently manned at all times. Please give your name and contact details to the office if you would like to help.

No previous shop experience is necessary - just a willing attitude and a pleasant manner. Also, we are always grateful for your second-hand clothing and household goods. Just ensure please that they are of good quality - we are not interested in jumble or worn electrical goods.

Education Officer:

We have no Volunteer Education Officer at present to go around schools highlighting the work of the G.S.P.C.A. and educating children in good animal welfare practices. If you feel that you would also be interested in this type of work, please let us know. Please note that you would need your own transport..
